Block Party

A block party is an outdoor public celebration organized by residents of a single city block or neighborhood. It usually involves closing the street to vehicle traffic so neighbors can gather safely to share food, play music, dance, and do activities together.

Block Party Permit Information

To have a block party you will need to submit the items below to the Land Development & Transportation Department at City Hall:

  1. Block Party Petition Request form (The petition must be 75% or greater in favor of allowing the closure, from the affected residences on the street of the proposed closure).
  2. Permit application for temporary street closure.
  3. Permit fee ($40.00).
