Transportation

The Transportation Division is responsible for the issuance of encroachment permits; road closure permits, parking permits, overload permits, and other permits related to traffic and parking.

Another essential function of this Division is the orderly maintenance, regulation, and promotion of transportation related matters. The Division collects traffic data and performs studies to determine speed limits and proper use of traffic devices. The division is also responsible for investigating requests for new traffic control devices and traffic safety concerns.

Adopted Speed Zones and ADT Counts

City Council Resolution No. 6817 established the current speed zones in 2025. The maps below provide a summary of the posted speed limits and average daily traffic (ADT) counts.
