Welcome to the “Notable News Weekly”, where we share the weekly email submitted to City Council and staff since its inception in 2022. This email highlights key accomplishments and updates from across all City departments, giving insight into the projects and programs shaping our community. While not an exhaustive list, it demonstrates the remarkable amount of work happening each week and fosters collaboration, efficiency, and teamwork among staff.

This Week's Notable News Highlights: 

  • Police Department- Over the past week, Impact Officers cleaned up abandoned debris/trash in several locations that were causing blight issues. Officers also made several arrests related to drug violations, trespassing, and outstanding warrants.
  • Public Works- 19th Street Rehabilitation and Utility Improvements (Mountain to Euclid) Staff continues preparations for a community meeting to discuss the project preliminary design concepts. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9th at the Magnolia Recreation Center.
