Get your kicks on Route 66! The City of Upland is proud to announce the Centennial Celebration of Route 66. This commemorative event will honor the 100th anniversary of the iconic “Mother Road” and highlight the much-anticipated reopening of Foothill Boulevard. You are invited to join Upland for a day full of live music, a classic car display, and various family-friendly activities. Upland Memorial Park will be transformed into a nostalgic experience featuring:

CARDBOARD CAR SHOWCASE
Participants ages 12 and under are invited to design their own cardboard car to showcase during the Route 66 Centennial Celebration! Get creative with paint, stickers, and fun accessories! R Get your kicks on Route 66! The City of Upland is proud to announce the Centennial Celebration of Route 66, taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2026. This commemorative event will honor the 100th anniversary of the iconic “Mother Road” and highlight the much-anticipated reopening of Foothill Boulevard. Registration deadline: September 23. Voting will begin on October 3 and winners will be announced on October 14.
CLASSIC CAR DISPLAY
Cruise into the celebration and share your passion for cars and car culture! From vintage classics to tomorrow’s classics, bring your unique ride, show it off, and rev up the fun! Registration Deadline: September 23.
ROAD TRIP CHALLENGE
Explore the participating businesses along Route 66 [Foothill Boulevard]. Collect a special stamp on your Road Trip Map for each stop you make. Bonus drawings with purchase, collect an extra “Fuel Up” stamp for exclusive drawings. The more stamps you collect the more chances to win. Challenge runs from September 21-October 16. Winners announced October 19. Playing cards available at participating locations and at the following locations:

CODE OF CONDUCT
The City of Upland is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and family-friendly experience for our guests. The actions below shall result in the removal from the event and possible arrest:
- Disorderly or disruptive conduct (taunting or abusive language and obscene or offensive gestures).
- Possession/use/sale of illegal drugs.
- No open flames and grills.
- Urinating in public other than a proper restroom.
- Damage, destruction, vandalism, or theft of any property.
- Divisive symbols, gang attire, or club-affiliated colors/cuts, or related imagery.
- Parents are responsible for their children at all times during the event.
