The City Clerk accepts service for claims for damages, lawsuits, and subpoenas relating to City business. The City Clerk does not accept service of lawsuits which do not name the City or individuals in their capacity as City officials. The City Clerk does not accept subpoenas for individuals, in litigation matters in which the City is not named, other than Custodian of Records. The fee for a subpoena for records is $15. The subpoena will not be accepted without payment.
All claims are processed by the City's third-party administrator, George Hills Company. A representative from their office will contact you directly after receiving your claim.
Claims must be filed with the City Clerk's Office in person or by mail pursuant to Government Code Section 915(a), at the address below:
