Investigations
The Investigations Division includes nine Detectives assigned to specific caseloads, conducting follow-up investigation to cases generated by patrol personnel.
Supporting the investigative work of this division is the Evidence and Property Unit. Evidence personnel conduct a thorough analysis of major crime scenes which includes the search for, and processing of latent prints, crime scene photography and collection of relevent evidence. Property personnel are responsible for cataloging and storage of all evidence and property that comes into the police department.
In addition to the nine Detectives assigned to caseloads, the Investigations Division has one Police Officer assigned to Ontario Regional Interdiction of Narcotics (ORION). They intercept suspicious packages that are going in and out of state and conduct investigations into where narcotics are being shipped to and from.
