• Make sure the business license tax certificate is in the current business owner's name.
• Make sure the business license tax certificate has the correct business address listed.
• Confirm that all applicable gross receipts have been submitted. 
• Pay any delinquent business license taxes and fees.
• Per the UMC (Upland Municipal Code), the business license tax certificate must be posted in a conspicuous place inside the business.
