Michelle began her career as a Communications Officer for the La Verne Police Department in 2001, dispatching for both the La Verne Police and the La Verne Fire Departments.  She was a training officer and also a tactical dispatcher for the regional SWAT team, FSET.

In 2009, Michelle accepted a position at the Fontana Police Department, where for 5 years she served as a Shift Supervisor.  She joined the Upland Police Department in July 2023 as the Dispatch Supervisor, overseeing 12 full-time and 3 part-time dispatchers.
