Description
This pair of one-story Craftsman bungalows are identical. Front
gables with overhanging eaves, exposed rafters, and oversized
triangular brackets cap the dwellings. Porches are recessed
across the facade and enclosed by plain wood posts and solid
balustrades. Fenestration is symmetrically arranged with a
central door, flanked by diamond-paned windows. The diamond
pattern is repeated in vents in the peaks of the gables.
Sheathed with clapboard, the bungalows are in good condition.
RESEARCH NOTES:
According to the sanborns these cottages were built between 1907 and 1912. They were originally part of the property associated with 390 east Ninth Street.
