Description
This one-story Craftsman bungalow illustrates the way the style was pared down to its essentials during the 1920s. Capped by a cross-gabled roof, the structure is covered with narrow clapboard. An open porch, located in the center of the facade, is covered by the front gable and defined by tapered wood posts resting on battered concrete pedestals. The gable face is filled with vertical slats. A slightly off-centered door is flanked by one-over-one double-hung sash windows. The bungalow is intact and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Although this house had not yet been constructed when the 1928 Sanborn was issued, it was probably built shortly thereafter.
