Description
This rather unusual addition to the neighborhood is a one-story Spanish Colonial Revival home of brick construction. Located on the southwest corner of Sixth and C, the building has a flat roof with a tile-edged parapet. The Sixth Avenue (east) elevation contains a tiled front gable over a projecting wing at the south end and a tiled shed roof over a porch abutting it to the north. Heavy wooden posts and beams support the shed. That note of rusticity is repeated by wooden lintels over the openings. Other features include raised brick sills and a circular vent with an iron grille high in the gable face. The house is in fairly good condition; its integrity is unknown. RESEARCH NOTES : Paul & Genevieve Fetrow were the first owners of this house, built in 1931-32. Fetrow had a gas station a few blocks away on C Street.
