Description
A pair of palm trees make a dramatic contrast to this one-story, turn-of-the-century cottage. Hip roofed, the building is sided with clapboard beneath a boxed cornice. Wrapping the southwest corner of the building, a recessed, "L"-shaped porch is defined by slender columns. The entry is centered between the palm trees, and beneath the peak of the roof. Nearly abutting it to the right (south), a double-hung sash window displays the proportions typical of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Another window is centered on the facade north of the porch. Unaltered, the cottage is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: On the basis of style, the date of construction of this building is estimated as c. 1905.
