Description
Simplicity is the keynote of this one-story Craftsman dwelling. Clad in wide horizontal siding, the dwelling sits three steps up on its foundation. A low-pitched, front-facing gabled roof with extended eaves, beams and bargeboard caps the structure. Vertical slats fill the peak of the gable. The twelve light centered door is flanked by one-over-one double-hung sash windows. Aluminum awnings have been added to the facade openings. The dwelling it identical to 410 N. Campus, which is just north of it as the same parcel. Both bungalows are in fairly good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: This pair of cottages was built in 1925-26 by Alvin and Rhonda Eshelman, apparently as income property.
