Description
One of a pair of adjacent homes, this is a one-story, Mission Revival influenced, Spanish bungalow. It is stuccoed and flat roofed. A stepped parapet tops the facade. The entry is centered, with a vestibule pierced by arched openings and a tiled shed roof, projecting in front of it . A tripartite window and a pair of double-hung sash windows are located to either side. The bungalow is largely unaltered and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Pioneer Upland resident C.C. Burkholder built this house and its twin to the north in 1924-25 probably as rental property. A minister of the Brethren Church who rose to the rank of bishop, Burkholder was a builder by trade.
