Description
This one-story residence is another of Upland's Craftsman bungalows that makes good use of cobblestone in its design. The clapboarded bungalow rests on a stone foundation. A low-pitched front gabled roof caps the structure. Another front gable tops the porch which is attached to the south two-thirds of the street facade. Projecting eaves with exposed rafters and purlins characterize the gable treatment. Battered wood posts on stone piers and a stone wall enclose the porch. An off-centered door and a one-over-one double-hung sash window are located under the porch gable while an identical window is located to the north. The bungalow is intact and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Everett and Helen Mitchell were the owners of this property in 1928 when an improvement was first assessed.
