Description
This simple Spanish styled bungalow is characterized by usual - stucco exterior and red tile roofing. The asymmetrical facade is divided into three sections. Both the narrow central entry and broad north window are shaded by a tiled pent roof. Another broad window is centered in the south bay. Most of the roof is flat, edged by a tile coping. Alterations to the bungalow include the entry and an iron railing to the north of it. The residence is in fair condition. RESEARCH NOTEB: In 1923, when the Sargents bought this property from F.L. Winn there were no assessed improvements on the lot. The 1924 assessment was for $400 while in 1925 it had jumped to $1200, indicating ongoing construction. J. Emery Sargent was the manager of the Fox Woodsum Lumber Company.
