Description
A Colonial Revival influence is discernable in the design of this one-story Craftsman bungalow. The clapboarded structure is capped by a front gable and sits on a cobblestone foundation. Offset to the west, a second smaller gable sits on posts and defines the porch. Pent roofs close the gables, which are set off by boxed cornices. At the top of four steps flanked by stone rails, the entry is glazed and flanked by sidelights. To the east, a band of windows enclose what may have been part of the original porch. Other details include a louvered vent in the primary gable face and a lattice foundation skirt on the facade. The bungalow is sited on a lot elevated one step above the street and bordered by stone. It is in fairly good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: The assessment record reveals that this house was constructed in 1921-22. John and Kate Reney were the original owners.
