Description
This one-story Spanish bungalow exhibits numerous characteristics of the type. Its stuccoed exterior is capped by a tiled, L-shaped, gable roof. The front gable wing contains a large, arched living room window composed of two multi-light casements flanking a large fixed sash with a segmented head transom above all three. Underneath an extension of the front gable, the entry is recessed behind a flattened archway. A small patio abuts the vestibule, overlooked by additional casements. Arrow tipped rods indicate that the space is sometimes covered by a canvas awning. A triple casements opening occupies the south end of the facade. Unaltered and neatly landscaped, the bungalow is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Built in 1929, this house shared the lot with a grocery store. An earlier house had faced 10th (Arrow) and had been owned by grocer William B. Kent and his wife Susie. This house was constructed for M. and Rose Blumenfield.
