Description
This house was once primarily a near twin to its southern neighbor, 520 N. Campus. The primary characteristic of this onestory Craftsman bungalow is a fairly steeply pitched front gabled roof with extended eaves, exposed rafters, and triangular brackets. A narrowly proportioned sash window is located to the left (north) of a screened-in porch cutaway from the southwest corner of the clapboarded structure. Resting on a cobblestone foundation, the bungalow is in fairly good condition. Other than the porch, the only alteration observed was the addition of metal awnings. RESEARCH NOTES: Built before 1912, when it was illustrated as "436" by the Sanborns, this house was assessed to Perry D. Long (1909), A.G. Allen (1910-12), August H. Siechert (1913-19) and J. Howard and Rosa Ellen McPherson (from 1919).
