Description
This one-and-one-half story bungalow has been altered but retains some Craftsman elements. A front gable caps the structure, trimmed by stickwork in the peak and a bargeboard with slightly flaring ends. Horizontal siding edged with endboards sheathes the building. Most of the facade is spanned by an attached porch which is defined by a three step elevation and a pent roof. The porch has been screened, leaving visible a slightly offset entry flanked by re-glazed windows. Another window has been replaced in the gable end. Cobblestone features include a chimney on the north elevation and the porch stair walls, which have cement coping in a convex configuration. The bungalow is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: This house preceded many of the others on the block. It appeared on the 1912 Sanborn; at the time the owner was T.A. Falconer. Since Falconer was the first owner following the subdivision of the tract in 1908, most likely he was the original owner. Subsequent owners included Joseph Riley, Thomas and Lillie Proctor and Asa 0. Worich.
