Description
This one-story Craftsman bungalow is characterized by a pair of offset front gables. Extended beams, rafters, and bargeboards are incorporated into the roof treatment. Vertical stickwork fills the end of the gable which projects from the north section of the facade to cover a porch. Tapered posts on cobblestone pedestals are linked by a cross beam with shaped ends to support the gable. The entry is centered beneath the peak of the gable. A large tripartite window occupies the south portion of the facade. The clapboarded building is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Built in 1922-23, this was the home of George Sturdivant, laborer at the Upland Citrus Association, and his wife, Alma.
