Description
This Craftsman bungalow from the 1920s is one-story, crossgabled, and sheathed in horizontal siding. The front gable is offset to the north and projects over a porch. A pair of tapered posts support each end of the gable. Linking the posts, a stick railing echoes the pattern of the stickwork in the open gable face. The fenestration appears to have been altered, and consists of a partially glazed entry centered within the porch which is flanked by double-hung sash windows. The bungalow is in fair condition. RESEARCH NOTES: The assessment record indicates that this house was built in 1923-24 when S.M. and Susan Etta Buckwalter were the assessed owners. In 1926 the directory listed John Buckwalter, a clerk, as the resident of the house.
