Description
A pair of Washingtonis robusta palm trees adds a note of distinction to this simple one-story Craftsman residence. Set under a front facing gabled roof with extended eaves and exposed rafters, the residence is sheathed with clapboard below the vertical slats in the gable peak. The fenestration consists of a slightly off-centered door, a single sash window to the left and a pair of sash windows to the right. The paired windows replaced a recessed porch. The residence is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: This house was built on 1917-18 by Hiram and Almira Barager. Hiram Barager was a laborer, according to the 1919-20 directory; his place of employment in the 1920s, when he had moved further south on Campus, was the Upland Lemon Growers Association.
