Description
Narrow clapboard finished with endboards sheathes this one-story Colonial duplex. A side gabled roof caps the structure. Centered on the facade, a front gable and four Tuscan columns define an attached porch. Four steps lead to a pair of paneled and glazed doors flanked by cottage windows. A front gabled roof covers the barn-like garage in the rear of the lot. The buildings are substantially intact and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Ernest and Dora Flintoff were the owners of this property in 1932, when an improvement assessment was first recorded. In the 1934 directory their address was listed as 247 6th Avenue and Ernest was identified as a machinist.
