Description
Medium clapboard sheathes this one-story Craftsman bungalow. The main portion of the dwelling is covered by a front facing gabled roof, while a second, offset gable extends from the west half of the facade. Extended eaves and exposed rafters detail the rooflines. A low cobblestone wall spanning the facade indicates that the projecting gable once covered a porch; a pergola which is now roofed topped the east section of the space. Now enclosed, the former porch has been re-sided and contains a pair of eight light casements. Centered below the rear gable, the entry opens onto the pergola capped space. It is flanked by a pair of casements whose mullion design indicate that they might be original. The bungalow is in altered but good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: The assessment record shows that Stuart L. Peck was the owner of this property in the year an improvement was first assessed, 1922. Peck and wife Ethel were living here by the time the 1924 directories were issued.
