Description
Although this one-story bungalow has been substantially altered, it maintains the scale and the mostly Craftsman theme of the streetscape. A bellcast front gable with extended eaves crowns the structure. Rafters curve up to conform to the roof line. A tripartite, latticed vent is centered in the gable face. Corbels mark the transition between the gable end and the lower facade. Most likely a recessed porch once spanned the exterior; however it has been enclosed with a central entrance sandwiched between pairs of aluminum sash. Sidelights, a transom and a shed hood mark the entry. Two steps with cobblestone rails rise to the opening. Sheathed with shingles, the bungalow is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: This modest home was probably built around 1914. Amanda Conn was assessed for the property between that time and 1920. A David Conn noted in the 1916-17 directory wa at this location.
