Description
Cobblestone pedestals rising up from a stone foundation are the focal point of this one-story Craftsman bungalow. The bungalow is sheathed in alternating medium and narrow clapboard with vertical stickwork filling the gable peak. A front facing gabled roof caps the structure and projects over the full front porch. Eaves are extended and enclosed. Single and paired wood posts rest on the heavy pedestals to support the porch roof. An off-centered door with three full vertical lights opens on to the porch. Extended lintels top the door and the windows to each side. Alterations include the windows, which have been replaced and the removal of the rafters in the eaves. The bungalow is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Mary Wilson was the owner of this property in the year an improvement was first assessed, 1916. The previous owner was Amanda Gerry. Wilson, widow of David, was listed at this location in the directories, beginning in 1916-17.
