Description
Clad with shingles, this one-story Craftsman bungalow sits on a cobblestone foundation. A side gabled roof with a central shed dormer caps the bungalow. Extended eaves and exposed rafters detail the roof. A pair of vents with lattice screens are widely spaced in the dormer. Four steps with cobblestone rails lead to a door on the west end of the facade. A porch originally spanned the facade and has been enclosed. The bungalow is in good condition. The 1912 Sanborn illustrated an earlier house at the rear of this parcel. At the time, it was owned by Henry 0. Blohm, the postmaster and the secretary-treasurer of the Upland Foundry and Machine Company. The directories located Blohm on Railroad (Washington) between 9th and 10th between 1912-13 and 1916-17. In 1918 Jacob B. Perschbacher et al purchased the property, apparently as a rental. The present house appears on the 1928 Sanborn.
