Description
Located on the southwest corner of Ninth Street and Tenth Avenue, this is a one-story Craftsman bungalow. Its cross gable roof features two front gables, a smaller one being offset to the east. The porch, which is recessed across the facade has been screened. Brick pedestals carrying battered wood posts mark the porch corners and the entrance. Vertical venting, extended bargeboards, and exposed rafters characterize the gables. Fenestration appears to be double-hung sash. The bungalow is in good condition and is shaded by the branches of a large evergreen tree. RESEARCH NOTES : Built between 1912 and 1915, according to the evidence of the Sanborns and the assessment record, this was the home of James A. Dinger. The owner of the property since 1909, Dinger was a laborer. He lived at "109O" according to the 1916-17 directory.
