Description
An attractive example of Craftsman styling, this one-story bungalow is set under a cross-gabled roof: The gables are detailed with exposed structural elements including latticework in the apex of the gables, extended eaves, rafters, crossbeams, and braces. The front gable projects over a porch defined by tapered wood posts on cobblestone pedestals. An offset entry is flanked by large tripartite windows with decorative paning in the central sash. Sheathed with clapboard, the bungalow is well preserved and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Otto W. Siechert was the first owner of this bungalow. It was built between 1912 and 1915, according to a comparison of the Sanborn maps and the assessment record. Siechert took possession of the property in 1913.
