Description
Located on a corner lot, this one-story Craftsman residence is screened from view by foliage. It appears that the clapboarded residence is covered by an intersecting gabled roof with extended eaves and exposed rafters. A centered flight of four steps with cobblestone rails provides access to an enclosed porch. Doublehung sash windows provide illumination. No other details of this simple bungalow are visible. It is in fairly good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: The 1915 improvement assessment on the property was $0; in 1916 owner J.C. Rosebaum was assessed for a $350 improvement. John c. Rosebaum, a teamster with G.W. Duley,, resided at the northeast corner of Vernon Drive and Laurel, according to the 1916-17 directory.
