Description
This one-story shingled bungalow merges Craftsman era and earlier characteristics. The structure is capped by a hipped roof which rises to a gabled peak. Horizontal slats fill the peak, while extended eaves and shaped rafter tails detail the rest of the roofline. Wood posts with decorative brackets define a shallow space tucked underneath the roof. The space was most likely a full front porch which was converted into a flower bed trimmed with brick. Other features include a large tripartite window overlooking the flower bed and a cobblestone chimney located on the south elevation. The bungalow is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: In 1917 this property was empty and was owned by Letitia Millsaps, a teacher at Ontario High School. It was acquired by E.W. Fisher et a1 in 1918, who was assessed for a $500 improvement. Louise Jones Hall was the assessed owner beginning in 1922.
