Description
Craftsman styled fenestration is highlighted in this one-story bungalow. Set under a cross-gabled roof, the bungalow is sheathed with narrow clapboard. Roof features include vertical slats in the apexes of the gables, extended eaves and exposed rafters. The front gable tops a porch and is supported by tapered wood posts set on cobblestone pedestals. A cobblestone wall encloses the space. sidelights flank a central, glazed door. To the south a large window is also framed by sidelights and is topped by a six light transom. A similar six-over-one theme is echoed by the window north of the entry. Attractively landscaped, the bungalow is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Mable E. Williams owned this property in 1924 when an improvement was first assessed. A widow, Mrs. Williams was a cashier at the Ontario-Upland Telephone Company.
