Description
This one-story turn-of-the-century cottage is crowned by a hipped roof. A porch is cutaway from the southwest corner and is embellished with stickwork posts. The main entrance and a double-hung sash window are located under the porch roof. A double-hung sash window is also centered on the north end of the facade under a gablet. Sheathed in narrow clapboard, the cottage features endboards, a boxed cornice, and lug sills. It sits behind a front lawn edged by a stone curb and punctuated by a mature evergreen tree. The house is largely unaltered and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: According to the evidence of the Sanborns, this house was built between 1907 and 1912.
