Description
Very similar in appearance to its neighbor across the street, this is a one-story Colonial/Craftsman bungalow from the first half of the 1920s. A jerkinhead side-gable roof caps the clapboarded structure. The jerkinhead gable motif is repeated in the hood over the central entry. An arched soffit, fluted pilasters ending in scrolled corbels and ten-light sidelights frame the doorway. Identical quadripartite casements are in the side bays of the three-bay composition. The slightly elevated porch in front of the entry has an iron railing; otherwise no alterations were noted. The bungalow is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Harley G. Brown apparently added the $600 improvement which is listed in the 1924 assessment after buying this property from Lizzie Kreider Lehman in 1923.
