Description
A porch across the facade has been partially enclosed and screened, masking the original appearance of this one-story bungalow. The roof consists of a side gable anchored by front gables at each end and a central pyramidal peak. Beneath the extended eaves and exposed beams of the front gables, the gable ends contain oval vents. The building, like the gable faces, appears to be sheathed with stucco. A pent roof spans the facade above the porch, further shading the enclosure. The residence is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Harry and Grace Cooley were assessed for a $1450 improvement in 1926 after buying this lot unimproved in 1924. Cooley, a building contractor, lived at 281 8th Avenue according to the 1926 directory.
