Description

A semicircular cement path curves through a relatively deep setback to this one-story, Craftsman dwelling. Set beneath a side gable roof, the bungalow is sided with clapboard. Three openings, a central window separating two vents, occupy a shed roofed dormer centered over the facade. Exposed rafters punctuate the overhanging eaves. A porch is recessed across most of the facade. Tapered posts set on cobblestone pedestals support the gable above it. An iron railing has been added. The entry is centered, with a broad, double-hung sash window close to it on the left (east) and a large, tripartite opening further away on the right. No major alterations were noted, and the building is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: In the first ten years following subdivision this property experienced several changes in ownership. George W. Curtis was the assessed owner in 1908 and 1909, Charles P. Fuller in 1910 and 1911, S.T. Lewis in 1912 and 1913, and beginning in 1915, Alois Podrasnik. Former neighbors remember the Bailey and Goodban families living in the house.
