Description
The simplicity of the Mission Revival is apparent in this onestory stuccoed residence. It is stuccoed and topped by a flat and low-pitched gable roof. Pent roofs over the side bays of the three bay facade and the gables are tiled. piers and a central pointed parapet punctuate the roofline of the facade. Beneath the parapet, the entry is marked by a broad arch beneath a side gable. A round-headed entrance sits at the top of three brick stairs. Low patio walls extend to either side of the vestibule, with pairs of four-over-four sash windows set into the facade behind them. Set-back wings on the side elevations appear to be the only non-symmetrical features of the building. In fairly good condition, it has been re-stuccoed resulting in an altered appearance. RESEARCH NOTES: Ernest Galle added a $1000 improvement to this lot by 1925. It was probably one of the first improvement following the 1925 subdivision.
