Description
The vocabulary of the Spanish Colonial Revival is effectively employed in the design of this one-story residence. An L-shaped plan encloses a walled patio. The projecting leg of the "LU is front-gabled and lined by an arcade overlooking the patio. Imposts accent the arches. The rear wing is side gabled and divided by a broad chimney. Iron awning supports and a scrolled chimney ornament accent the stucco siding and tile roofs. Beneath cloth awnings, the windows are casement in type. The house has experienced no obvious alterations and is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES : Fred Williams, a carpenter, purchased this lot from the subdivision in 1927. In 1929 he was assessed for a $1400 improvement.
