Description
A varied roofline caps this one-and-one-half story, stuccoed English Revival residence. The primary volume is capped by a side gable. Topping the north half of the facade, a front gable sweeps in a curved line over a central entrance. The entrance is recessed behind an archway. Beneath the gable a pent-roofed, squared bay contains three casement windows. A shed roof dormer abuts the north gable. Another front gable is set over the south section of the facade, framing a band of four casement windows. Other features include exposed rafters, tall, louvered vents in the gable ends, and a chimney on the south elevation. Apparently unaltered, the building is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Robert and Amelia Adler acquired this lot from W.H. and Beatrice Craig and were assessed for an $1100 improvement in 1929. According to the 1931 directory, they lived at this address; Robert was chauffeur for J.W. Heinecke.
