Description
This one-and-two story Spanish Colonial ~evival residence is stucco sided beneath a multi-gabled, tiled roof. The north wing of the building is front gabled, with a one-story wing containing a large window centered below the gable peak. Set back above the one-story section, the second story contains an offset window and a chimney-like projection which is also gabled abutting the north wing, the south section of the facade is spanned by a shallow porch tucked beneath the side gable. Two double-hung sash windows, the entry, and an arched garden gate open onto the porch. Alterations include a brick porch wall, metal porch supports, and a rear wing with an asphalt roof and aluminum frame windows. The house is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: C.W. Allen purchased this property from Robert and Leah Leonard in 1928 and was assessed for a $300 improvement. The assessment amount jumped to $1450 the following year, probably indicating the completion of construction.
