Description
The age and original appearance of this one-story commercial building can not be determined from the.facade. Stucco sheathes the parapet, while vertical wood siding faces the storefront. The windows and door have been altered. RESEARCH NOTES: According to the assessment record this improvement appeared on its lot in 1929-30. Charles and Cora L. Wilson were the assessed owners at the time. The 1931 directory identifies 167 as a billiard hall run by Wilson, who lived in Ontario. However, the Sanborns indicate a one-story brick store was at 167 at least as early as 1907 when it may have been a post office. In 1912 the space housed a confectionery and in 1928, an unspecified store.
