Description
Narrow clapboard sheathes this simple one-story Craftsman bungalow. A single gable parallel with the street caps the dwelling while a perpendicular gable caps the porch attached to the primary elevation. Roof details include extended eaves, exposed rafters and plain bargeboards. A small vent is located high in the face of each gable. Tapered wood posts support the porch gable and frame a glazed entrance and a tripartite window to the right (south) of it. Another tripartite opening is located to the left of the porch. Fenestration is trimmed with slightly extended lintels. The bungalow appears to be intact and in fairly good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: The assessment record clearly shows that the Williamsons built this house in 1926-27, about a year after they bought the property. Harry was listed as a trucker in the 1926 directory and a chauffeur in the 1928 directory. The current (1990) owner is the Williamson's granddaughter.
