Description
This one-story Craftsman bungalow with a side-gabled roof has a front-facing gabled dormer with a shed roof. Overhanging eaves are punctuated by notched rafter tails. Now screened in, the porch originally ran across the front facade. Six stone pedestals topped by wooden pilasters support the roof. The piers, the stone foundation and the stone sidewalls on the front steps have cement coping. Brick chimneys rise above the side elevations. Due to the altered porch, the siding material and the windows are not visible. The bungalow appears to be in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Ferdinand St. Amand, the first owner following the subdivision of the tract, presumably built this house around 1908 or 1909. St. Amand was in residence here, according to the 1916-17 directory. The house appears as "439" on the 1912 Sanborn.
