Description
This two-story residence is one of the few American Colonial Revival homes on this stretch of Euclid. The side-gabled roof is shingled with boxed eaves. Wide overlap siding sheathes the building which features a symmetrical facade. Twin upper-story windows are paired, six-over-one double-hung sash adorned with shutters. A small oval window sits between the pair. Flanking the front door, bay windows with shingled, hipped half-roofs line directly below the shuttered windows. Tuscan piers support a gabled hood with an open pediment that frame the door and fanlight. A brick chimney on the southern side of the house echoes the brick paving of the front steps. The bays appear to be alterations, but the house is otherwise intact and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Harlow and Marian Wilson built this house in 1920-21 according to the assessment record. Harlow Wilson was a cashier at the First National Bank.
