Description
This one-and-one-half story colonial bungalow looks almost as tall as it is wide. Its steeply pitched side gable roof is accented by a central, triangular vent and a weathervane on the ridgeline. Centered below the vent, a gabled hood emerges from the roof to shade the entry. A pair of wood posts support the open gable end. Tripartite casement windows are equally spaced to either side of the entry. Narrow clapboards sheathe this symmetrically arranged exterior, accented by a cobblestone foundation and brick front steps, and porch alterations include aluminum awnings. The bungalow is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: William & Florence Springer were apparently responsible for the construction of this house. Springer was listed as a rancher in the 1924 directory.
