Description
The symmetrical design typical of the Spanish Colonial Revival is in evidence on this two-story home. Tiled front and side gables cap the stuccoed structure. A one-story front gabled wing is located at the south end of the facade and contains a large, round-headed, multi-paned window. Abutting this wing to the north, a small shed-roofed enclosure with an arched opening marks the entrance. Access is via a walkway edged by a low stucco wall and the two-story, front gabled wing. Iron grillework characterizes the window treatment in this wing. Spanning the driveway at the north end of the property, a flattened arch has a tiled hood. Enhanced by landscaping sprinkled with suitably tropical plants, the house is unaltered and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES : The first assessment on this parcel for an improvement appeared in 1929 when the property owners were Robert F. and Leah A. Leonard. They were not listed in the 1931 directory.
