Description
This one-story, Spanish influenced residence enjoys the deep setbacks and lush landscaping that characterizes this stretch of Euclid. It appears that a tiled roof has been removed from the house and replaced by shingles. The roof is front and side gabled, with a broad chimney topped by two pots bisecting the dwelling. A series of single and double casements with heavy extended lintels face a walled patio from the side gable wing. An extension of the front gable shades a portion of the patio. Porch supports may have been modified. Another side gabled wing extends south from the front gable and is fronted by a small patio. Although altered, the house is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES : Jay C. Baird, orange grower, was the owner of this property in 1930 when the lot split and this improvement was assessed. Baird lived at 1671 Euclid, according to the 1931 directory.
