Description
This picturesque example of English Revival styling is two stories and capped primarily by a side gable roof. Hip roofs crown the garage wing at the north end of the house and a small one-story projection between the garage and the entry. Wall dormers with hipped and shed roofs punctuate the eaves. Window boxes adorn some of the dormers. The entry is offset to the north in the main wing and is recessed within a flat-headed arch. A metal canopy which may be an alteration marks the location. To the south of the entry a tripartite window occupies the lower facade. Paired casements are utilized; it has been re-roofed. The house is substantially unaltered and in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: Leigh Thompson, who was in the fertilizer business, and his wife Ruby owned this property in 1930 when the lot split and construction of most homes on this section of Euclid apparently occurred.
