Description
This one-and-two story Spanish style residence is typical of many neighborhoods in Los Angeles but relatively rare for Upland. Stuccoed, the building is capped by a tiled gable roof. The one-story wing occupies the north end of the facade and forms the short leg of an L plan. Beneath a front gable the wing contains a large square window with fairly deep reveals. Recessed at the south end of the facade, the two-story wing is side gabled. A balcony is recessed into the upper story and edged by a wood railing and posts with brackets. The entry is located where the two wings meet and shaded by a tiled shed roof on posts. Other features include bracketed eaves and casement windows. Unaltered, the house is in good condition. RESEARCH NOTES: On the basis of style it is estimated that this house was built circa 1929.
